A Concert in the Living Room

The Brighouse and Rastrick Band proudly present "A Concert in the Living Room”.We are so excited to finally reveal what we have been working on since all of our "real life" banding was cancelled. As anyone who has even been to a B&R concert will know, we always finish our performances with a rendition of The Floral Dance. At the minute, all of our upcoming concerts are of course either cancelled or postponed, so we have been thinking of how we can bring our music straight to you, in your living room. We can now proudly present The Floral Dance, from our living rooms to yours!A special mention goes to those of you who were due to be attending the eagerly anticipated Massed Bands concert with the Black Dyke Band right now at Huddersfield Town Hall. We hope that this will go some way to fill the gap in your Saturday evening. We would like to say a huge thank you to the band's timpanist Jonathan Kenna for leading this project, and also to Keith Johnson of KMJ recordings for helping with some of the technical work. There is a huge amount of work involved in creating something like this; it is definitely not a quick job and Kenna has managed to fit it all in alongside his currently crucial job in the police force. We hope this video gives you as much joy to watch as it did for us to make. And for all of our fellow banders and audiences out there, keep watching this space as in the current days we are going to be giving you the opportunity to get involved with The B&R Floral Dance.Stay home and stay safe, with love from everyone at the Brighouse and Rastrick Band.💜💜💜💜
